Nagot gick fell

I can play an existing game, and I can create a new one, but if I at any point in the main start screen hit 'Preferences' to add or remove say, a mod, the game instantly crashes, Nagot gick fell, giving me four "mymemcheclc adr==0" errors. I have installed the latest patch (again) to no effect. I tried rebooting, nothing. I tried emptying mu mods folder, same problem. The only thing I haven't done yet is reinstall the game. I supposed that probably won't wipe out anything (won't touch the mods folder), so I suppose it's the next reasonable step.

But does anyone have a clue why my game is suddenly broken this way? I was just about to test out a new race mod I'm fiddling with.

You have memory trouble. How much RAM do you have installed?

I have two gigabytes running Vista. No other problems with any other games.

However I have after trying everything else, including reinstalling the game, finally done the one thing I should have done at the very first, try booting things up 'without' the mod I am building. Bingo, it is a bug with my mod '.dm' file. ARGH!

Now I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my syntax and have struck a total brick wall with that. I cannot for the life of me see what I did wrong.

Any chance anyone would want to check my mod file out and see what the bug might be? (This is a test mod for DrPraetorious' nation build point system.)

See attachment.

Problem resolved. It was something weird about the banner and flag .tga files saved from Photoshop. Maybe I should be using a different graphics format to save in, as Photoshop is clearly messing something up with the way it is saving them. Or install GIMP, but then I have to learn my way around a new program.

I just did a quick check of flag.tga in your mod. The file size appears almost double the typical flag tga. I then opened and saved it from GIMP and the file size was reduced. I am not familiar with Photoshop, but look for an option to save the tga file with "RLE Compression" and "Origin at bottom left". I think that the RLE Compression is not being used and this might be causing you problems.

If all else fails, maybe you can just create your images in Photoshop and then reopen and save them again with GIMP and see if that helps.

Good luck!
