Minor issue with PBEM Campaign
 

Chaps,

Just concluded Game 4 of a PBEM Campaign, and was sent the attached Turn by my oppo. I am Player 1.

However, instead of seeing the Game Results screen, I am taken straight into the Repair/Change etc. screen.

Since there is a flag set in the save game after P2 has repaired, that tells it to display the result screen for P1 before going off to P1 repair and new battle set up.

The flag that says that P2 ended his repair/buy has not been set. Hence you have not received your promotions and experience upgrades etc.

So my money is on P2 having interrupted this process, and sent you the file as saved off at the end battle screen (Where the promotions are shown) but not repaired. Or doing something else, like trying to reopen the file - but that should not clear the flag (hopefully!) :)

Try getting your opponent to replay his last turn, ensure he goes through the summary screen, then the repair and upgrade screen, and then resends you the save file. After the repair and not before.

If that does not fix it then I might want his last-1 turn file for debuggery, assuming he has it - and/or your last but one turn you sent him would be handy too.

No can do re: your final paragraph - we are playing by exchanging files via the World at War server, and thus have no "saves" as if we had been traditionally e-mailing each other .zip files.

He tried to see if he could open the game again, but was being prompted for the British password. (He beat me hollow that time, eh?)
