What does it involve?
Does it require wholesale changes to the file structures or are all the files 'added' in?
Just give me a little info and I'll try it. :)

Some changes to the exe, corps brigade division artillery and cavalry commanders are all some form of vehicle with the name changed. Country names changed and century now reads 18xx instead of 19xx, but since it's SPWW2 it has only early thirties to late forties for decade :( Would be fine if this was a Mexican War mod, which eventually will branch off I'm sure. Lots of new sounds, pic, OB, and icons, but much much work ahead. Still a long way to go. I've got the OBs tweaked to where the battles are playable now, before it was simply wholesale slaughter. That's really what I want tested, the weapons. Artillery is a real killer as it is now, but it may be too much. Definitely causes plenty suppression. Have some test scens set up. This may have to be a PBEM only mod, since the AI moves its infantry willy-nilly everywhere, for the most part it keeps the brigades together but will sometimes split off a regiment or two. Skirmishers (patrols) work very well I think, they harass and don't cause many casualties and the AI generally ignores them unless they get too rowdy. The AI keeps the Civil War linear tactics very well if it's in a defend or delay stance, but when it's advancing it's a little more disorganized. But hey, I'm having fun just with the little bit I have. Have tested but haven't delved too far into cavalry, right now they take too many casualties on the first volley. But I'm sure that's how it was in real life. Mounted and dismounted are separate in the OB. Confederate OB is the most worked-up right now. Confederate replaces Germany, Union replaces USA, Mexico will replace Italy, and Texians will replace Nationalist China.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested.

Thanks!

Xrati you can install a second copy of the game just copy the game folder to a diffrent location. Now rename the exec winSPWW2 to say Civil War & send a shortcut to your desktop. That way your original is untouched, handy to keep a second copy for mucking about creating stuff which I believe you enjoy I do just that deleting all scenerios campaigns & maps in it so finding my stuff is easy. Would not recomend this but the game is surprisingly stable can run both copies at once with no apparent problems.

Any interest in testing Imp?

Me and the wife are balled up with strep throat, but just let me know and I'll get the files out.
