Water Units and Bridges

I'm modifying a random vietnam map and I have a situation where
I need a bridge. But I also need water access.

It's been a long long time since I played any water units.

Can they pass a bridge hex on the water no problem?

Re: Water Units and Bridges

IIRC, "real" water units (ship classes) can.
"Fakes" (other class, land speed 0 ) get stuck.

I'm just expecting boats to pass, actual water going craft.

Not sure what you mean by "fakes".

For example "ammo ships": class-wise, these are ammo carriers (a non-ship class), but with a ship icon, speed 0, amphib speed >0, and (usually) move class "ship" (which doesn't seem to do anything as far as I can tell).
Works well enough, until they move into a hex that's accessible to land units (like a bridge) - because of that 0 speed, they can't move out of it any more.

Can't think of any examples in MBT, but in WW2, there's one in the Hungary OOB (as well as a FO "ship")
