learning help suggestions
 

hi

i finally recieved se4. i've played through the tutorial twice..read the booklet....not much help there...

should i read the entire cd 350 manual..?

the tutorial doesn't show but relatively few things..even the typical turns info in the biiklet covers very little.

any suggestions for getting up to speed appreciated,.

So, you want to learn how to play, eh? Well, I'd suggest starting a game with max tech levels, and more than one planet and just test things. See what happens when you click the abandon planet button. Develope different ships and see what the Mount sizes do. Just play around with it. Once you've got the basics, join one of the newbie games at the PBW site (http://seiv.pbw.cc) and see if you can get someone to help you. Once the basics are learned (what buttons do what), all you really have to know is where to find what you're looking for.

The "SE4 Dubious Strategy Guide" is an edited compilation of threads from the forum. It is a "work in progress". It's written for people in your situation.
