Facility Abilities Question
 
Is there anyway to increase the shipyard construction rate by a percentage? For example, a facility with a 5% increase would make a Space Yard Facility I produce at 2100 minerals instead of 2000. I want to add power plants that increase all point production by a percentage, but I can't figure out how to make the Space Yards produce more.

I don't have an answer for you but I do have another question that is related, sort of. If I've got system Factories already adding to my planets productions, and I add a System Mineral scanner, does it add as well?

Do you mean System Robotoid Factory + System Mineral Scanner? Then the answer is no. I don't understand why, but both bactories are not compatible. In fact, if you try to build the SRF while a SMS is somewhere in the system, the game will show you a note that says that another similar system-wide facility is present in the system. Same for the SRF + System Radioactives collider, for example.

I think this is not correct. I think that both facilities should be compatible (But not 2 SRF, 2 SMS, etc.)

What do you think?

i think that since they are in different facility Groups, that the facility abilities must be checked on a per ability basis rather than a per facility basis. this would seem to hold true with placing multiple spaceyard facilities on a planet, only one facility is allowed to have the construction ability per planet, regardless of the name or type or family of facility.

as for Noble's question, I dont think so, but i cant swear to it. while you can certainly do that with resource, intel, and research, there are no specific abilities that permit that. i cant think of a work around short of using it as a bonus to planet conditions, population, or mood.
