Undead immortals and affliction healing
I've seen afflictions disappear off a Phoenix (immortal and not undead).
But I've got a bunch of injured Wraith Lords in one game. They've been crippled etc for quite a number of turns now, and do not appear to be getting better at all. Am I just unlucky? Do undead immortals automatically heal their afflictions over time? |
Re: Undead immortals and affliction healing
Yeah, sounds like bad luck, they'll heal eventually.

Re: Undead immortals and affliction healing
Keep in mind some wounds take longer to heal than others. The one that I noticed taking the longest is the "Never healing wound" that gives a 20% hp reduction. I have seen immortal/recuperating units keep that affliction for a VERY long time.

Re: Undead immortals and affliction healing
I've been sending out the never-healing-wound guys into battle because I figured there wasn't much chance of that healing anyway, and they've been killed repeatedly without their affliction disappearing.
I've got more cripples that I'm not using to attack (AP=2 is lame). I thought they would have healed by now. Maybe my miasma is interfering: they could be auto-healing the disease they occasionally get first, and never get around to healing their legs. I wasn't really paying attention to their diseased status, but I think I saw it pop up occasionally. Lch has disease healing first in his afflictions recovery summary: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showpost.php?p=674202 |
Re: Undead immortals and affliction healing
I think you've got it exactly right. They are healing - and recontracting the disease. I've seen the exact thing before.

Re: Undead immortals and affliction healing
Yep, my guess would be miasma is complicating things.
