Suggestion

You know how in secure games when the opponent has reloaded (for whatever reason) his turn, you get a warning message?

Would it be possible to have some warning message so that when you try to reload a turn you have already played, you get it?

I will give an example from something I did, and I am sure it happens to other people too.

I played my turn, I ended my turn. Something came up, I didn't sent the email. (in my case high fever, but whatever) Hours later I noticed the opened email and I proceeded to re-download the file and copy the files in the game folder and proceeded to play my turn (cause I thought I didn't originally, or that this was a new email, I don't remember). After a few seconds I realised my mistake, but it was already too late since I was in the game-turn. Now, if I had received a warning message when trying to load/play, I could have cancelled it. Granded, in the specific case it wouldn't have done much good since I overwrote the files, but in other similar cases it can save turns/games.
What do you think?

I have a feeling its the price you pay for full security, human error can end it. Have used for ages with few issues but just recently had 2 problems.
1) Player sent me the same turn a second time which I did not realise till loaded it, its why you put the turn no on but didnt check so both at fault. Mind you if you dont number the turns & delete the old one as unzip/send it cant happen.
2) My fault completly power cut & my backup UPS is on its last legs so in a hurry to shutdown, out of habit think I pressed end turn instead of continue later, realised the moment I did it but to late. As I had only watched the replay & moved half a dozen units kinda blew it.
Having said that errors are rare I have learnt to check if the phone goes or some such distracting you while unziping, or in your case being crock.

Its also worth bearing this in mind if your opponent vanishes, can simply be a case of getting distracted as he was sending you the file & hence thinks he has.

Yes, the human error is a big factor in PBEM games. That's why I was thinking that we need or "need" if you prefer, a warning system, if possible, to warn about trying to reload a turn you have already played.

For the time being isn't it easier to just say the ell with full security?

Basic doesn't give you a problem package.

No.
I am not against the security. I don't trust anyone, or almost anyone.
This is a matter of warning to help people don't do stupid things, not anything to do with security.

I have a funny feeling what your thinking about will require many thousands of lines of new code, if it's even possible.
