OT: Emulation fans, rejoice. Mystic Ark has arrived
Mystic Ark, the spiritual successor to 7th Saga, is now available in english.
http://agtp.romhack.net/ We all have Gideon Zhi to thank for his tireless efforts to bring the awesomeness of golden-age JRPGs that american vendors didn't think would appeal to american audiences, to american audiences. While you're there, check out the rest of his huge library of projects. OK. just thought I'd let everyone know. I've been waiting on this game forever, now if he'll just take up Lennus II (aka Paladin's Quest II). |

As a kid, I loved 7th Saga. It was my fourth SNES game ever and I beat it with three of the characters.

7th saga was the one with the round looking radar right? That was a FUN game :).

Was this the roguelike that you've been developing, OmniRizon? ;) *poke poke*
Just kidding. It looks nice, maybe I'll even try to play it later. |

actually, I got hugely sidetracked by: 1. learning geometry and 2. learning Python's object model and metaprogramming techniques but now, I have implemented rotated rectangles, largest-rectangle-in-a-polygon, line-clipping, scaling, and line-tracing algorithms. more importantly, I'm actually using some of these things. I don't know if learning the object model was so important, but I feel assured now knowing what all these different things are (although I havn't been able to actually put them to practical use, but oh god I've tried). |

Sounds like great progress. I could use some experience with these things myself. :)
