Ships Not Used As Random Enemies
How is it that SE4 picks random races? I need to keep certain shipsets on my machine for PBW games that are, um, artistically challenged. I don't want them to show up when I create games and ask for random AI enemies.
How does it know what races are available? An emp file in the Empires directory, or AI files in the actual race directory? Something else? Thanks! |

Simply remove the directories for the races you don't want in the game and put them in another directory. |
Re: Ships Not Used As Random Enemies
What is the AI files are stripped out of the race directory? And is there no way to just tell it to skip the race?
I need them in the races directory for these PBW games. Now I'm in the habit of just adding all my races and using no random AI. |
Re: Ships Not Used As Random Enemies
i believe that is what the default AI files are for.

Re: Ships Not Used As Random Enemies
Why don't you just load up a second copy of the game without the un-wanted races. or move the pbw game and races under a folder called pbw. Then have a clean main set. change the path file to pwb folder when you want to play those turns and back to none when you want to play a clean solo game.
