Private games?
 

Is there a way to set up a private match? I was hoping that the --masterpass flag would mean that players have to enter that password to play, but I just tested it with a friend and that doesn't seem to be what it does at all.

I've got a bunch of friends drawing from the same pool of ports on my server and it would be nice to allow them all to be able to set up games against selective opponents w/out the hassle of someone else accidentally (or maliciously) joining.

easy answer- use llamaserver.

its very very rare for someone to join a game that they arn't supposed to be. it happens, but very rarely.

65534 ports to choose from? Usually if you dont advertise a game, people dont find it. I have many public games on my server and I have never had a problem with people joining the private ones.

But if its really a problem then set aside a group, such as 9XXX and say that any games in that range are by-invitation-only.
