S. Korea M48A3 with (range 18) CMG
The Browning M1919 coax only has a range of 18 hexes.
-- Also, from a quick google search, the A3 variant appears to be equipped with a fully covered commanders cupola (or turret) that is armed with a Browning M2HB. This indicates that the tank should be considered as having a TMG within the scope of the game. Tactically speaking, reclassing the HMG makes sense because more is gained by having additional capacity for infantry engagements then "fig-leaf" AA capability. |

Re: S. Korea M48A3 with (range 18) CMG
The cupola on the M48A3 was found to be so cramped that at least in the US case, the commander's machine gun was often removed and mounted on top of the cupola. I would imagine that the South Koreans might have made similar modifications.

Other countries, those that didn't modify their vehicles, perhaps should use the factory stock cupola. |
