WingedDog vs Fantomen

I have some free time now, not enough to start or join a big game, but enough to play a duel.
I never played a duel before, so am not sure what map should be used.
I don't really care about age or nation I'm going to play.
My terms are:
- game hosts on llamaserver and both: me and my opponent get the admin password; So there would be no communication problems if one of us needs a delay.
- opponent should preferably (but not nesessarily) be from Europe; To minimize time difference.
- CBM 1.6 must be used; I want to try it out.
- hosting schedule is 24 hours per turn until one of the players asks for more time, all required delays granted; I'm kinda slow and like to have some time to think my actions through. It doesn't mean I always send my turn in the last 5 minutes, if I make it in 15 minutes after hosting - I'd send it right away, I just don't like to be limited in time, besides real life is on the first place for me.
- After assigning the nations 2 days are given to generate pretender;

Everithing else is negotiable.

I'm up for it.

Sounds perfect for me with a slow pace duel. Pashadawg made a nice duel map, I'll go find the link...

Edit: Here it is: Dogfight

I think it looks kind of nice.

I would be honored to meet you in battle. Seems like a nice map to me.
What about age and choice of the nations?
Do you want to play a specific nation? Do you want to play against a specific nation? Perhabs you just don't care and we could ask for a third party to assign random nations? Or maybe you have other ideas?

winged dog- join the evil empire of IRC. we usually have at least one blitz every day, sometimes more.

I would prefer LA. I'm working on a strategy for LA Caelum that I'd like to try out, but it's probably best for a normal game.

So if you'd like to try some LA nation and/or strategy that isn't *all* about rushing in the first year, then I'd like to play LA Caelum.

Otherwise I'd be fine playing most nations of any age.

I think it's most interesting if we chose nations that has a comparable early game. Like Marverni vs. EA Ermor would be more fun than Marverni vs. Niefelheim etc.

I know, I visit IRC chanel sometimes... well very rare lately. The keywords were slow pacing duel. I'm a handbreak of a blitz game when I play one, I don't like hurrying and prefer PbEM.

Fantomen
LA is fine by me. Give me a pool of nations you think are equal to Caelum so I could choose one of them.

Would it be ok if I play Bogarus? Always wanted to try them out.
Standart settings?

Merry christmas! :)

Re: Looking for opponent for a slow pacing duel

Bogarus sounds great.

I'd like normal settings exept magic sites upped to 45, renaming on and perhaps lowering hall of fame slots to 5.

Will you set it up? We could call it "Dogfight" after the map.

Edit: And merry christmas!

All is fine by me. I will set the game up later (tomorrow more likely) and send you admin pass via PM.
