The multiplayer and I
I've read manual's guid about pbem, but i didn't get point 5 "the turn can be saved and exited as many time necessary".
How can i do so? or the .trn is what's used for "play an existing game"? |
Re: The multiplayer and I
With a pbem game, when you are looking at your turn on your computer it basically acts like a singleplayer game, except that when you hit end turn it's basically the same thing as save and exit. Your turn won't process until it and all other turns have been sent to the host.

Re: The multiplayer and I
The same thing can basically be done with the network game also. Once you receive your turn you just quit which breaks the network connection. Then play the game as a local one. When you have a complete turn you like, reconnect as a network game and hit end.
Tehre are also some 3rd party utilities for creating a backup save which can be handy in games for looking at things from previous turns. |
Re: The multiplayer and I
The .trn file is the results of the current turn which are sent to you by the host after each turn generation.
The orders that you give, based on this turn, are stored in the .2h ("to host") file. This is the file you send back to the server. |
