A very small map i made today, it use a photo of Italy.
Features: -18 land provinces -4 sea provinces -2 starting point -4 fixed sites a)the labyrint; provinces n°2 "sicily" --> greek influences b)the hidden kingdom of elludia; provinces n°5 "sardinia"--> being a poor and isolated provinces i think it was deserved c)villa of everchangin fresques: province n° 10"lazio"--> a roman villa d)the alchemist guild--> glass work was similar to an alchemist work( i also needed a site in northen italy to balance the others) -provinces 5 and 10 very well defended -a lot of farms and high population provinces -that lighter stuff you see in northen italy is supposed to be a river -no sea nation, yes LA atlantis comments? and there is an easy way to exclude sea nations? |
Re: Italy
That's a photo? Man Italy looks different from the sky.
The only way to exclude sea nations is to include all the land nations. |
Re: Italy
i didn't get what you are saying about the image, to me it seems just a normal draw of italy...
Why did they removed the #seaplayer comand? it seems so easy to me to just set it to 0 and voila all land nations. |
Re: Italy
Yeah a drawing of italy. Not a photo.
I doubt they removed the seaplayer command, it probably just broke at some point between dom2 and 3 and they didn't fix it. |
Re: Italy
yeah photo was used to say "a thing that should represent another thing", i admit it sound a little confusing.

Re: Italy
Quote:
"a thing that should represent another thing" - appropriate words for this are "likeness" or "representation". If you limit yourself to the visual realm, you could also use "image". In this case, since the map is drawn, you could use the word "drawing" or "illustration". The word "photo" means specifically an image captured with a camera (either the actual captured data or the printed version thereof.) So it's not an appropriate term for e.g. a drawn map. Just FYI. :) |
Re: Italy
A nice map, I like the look of it. I will try it out for a small duel game some time soon..
