There are rules?

Playing with a person from Spain told me that there were many rules to play by PBEM. He argued historical themes. I prefer to play without rules. I think we must study well the relationship between the size of the map and the purchase value of units to prevent such excesses of artillery. I know who think and if anyone wants to play without rules rare. Sorry for my English. I'm from Argentina and I am using the translator Goolge jejejeje:D.

I forgot to say that I consider myself a beginner to novice level playing PBEM. I prefer to play battles generated. But if you know a good stage play, I have no problems.

Re: There are rules?

Many people play with rules most common are max 10% of points for artillery in a meeting & not hordes of size zero units. I think it has come about because some people bought very silly forces so stops them wasting your time fighting them, a case of a few people ruining it as per life. Many players once they know you are sensible then do not worry about to much or use house rules to create specific situations.

As you can see force size not map size is what matters most & 10% tends to allow more than the correct meeting allotment

Roman,

If you find an opponent at The Blitz site, they are often keen on such rules: other wargaming clubs are not so formalised.

Having said that, I always prefer to play against an opponent who employs balanced forces - not hordes of Tigers and scouts/snipers, coupled with off-map arty! I prefer someone who is a wargamer, not someone who treats winSPWW2 as an arcade game to be won at any cost.

Also ppl who buy hordes of cheap and fast units to use them just for recon by death.

Then give them hot lead:fire: and have a turkey shoot!

Someone that wastes points like that will see in the end game, it don't work.
