ingame exchange rate

Hello.
Is there any standard ingame exchange rates between players?
For example if I need to buy blood slaves, and have gems, how much is it reasonable to propose? What exchange rate is to look for?

I understand that any game is unique, but still maybe there ara any commonly accepted bounds between goal and
Is there any standard terms I could try to get and reasonable terms which worth accepting if there is not much choice?

And for gems - is rate 1 to 1 is usual, or various deviations happen frequently and some gems are valued higher then others (for example death gems?)

P.S. As example of "usual" deals I mean selling dwarwen hammer for 14 earth gems, etc

I kind of had to learn this too not long ago. 1:1 is pretty common for most gems but it's tough to buy astral and death that way since there are a lot of value in them. It's also hard to spend fire. But of course, it's supply and demand. A nation that needs a lot of death gems and has bad luck finding them might pay a premium.

Slaves seem to run about 3:1 or 4:1 for gems. Because there is really no limit to how many slaves you can get if you are a real blood nation. So it's pretty cheap to buy a few slaves and get started.

Items are usually priced a full minus a very small amount for hammer discount. However, folks want a small profit to cover the mage time. So 13-14 for a hammer seems common.

Just my 2 cents but I'm not the most experienced.

And if to evaluate the price of producing 1 blood slave, if anyone calculated how much getting 1 blood slave worth if you have a rod in a province of around or some >5k? Without taking to account buying mage price, just looses of income..with 100% gold and in 250% gold maps? With blood mage level 1 with rod? with blood made level 2 with rod?

Hmmm, I usually see a 2:1 ratio for blood slaves, particularly if the one asking is the one getting blood slaves. Sure, they're relatively cheap for a blood nation, but they're not cheap at all for a non blood nation - which is generally who wants to buy blood slaves. Likewise, forging stuff "at cost" is usually only something you can expect from a good ally. Depends a lot on the situation I guess.

Yeah, you can expect to get items at base price +20-30%. Depends on game stage, friendship level, etc. 5 gem items usually go at 6-8 gems, 10 for 12-14, 15 for 18-20, etc. More precious items for more. Normal price for hammers is about 20 gems early on, depending on gems used as payment. Only Ulm can sell them at 14 per piece.

Similar gem cost item swaps also do happen, if both nations deem the trade worthwhile. I've done quite a few of them. Sometimes asking/offering a few extra gems in the process is not a bad idea to make the offer more lucrative to the one who would lose the "better" gems in the process.

Actually, discount is not that usual (unless from an ally) - at least it wasn't in my games. For the mage who forges an item costs upkeep and doesn't research/forge/cast anything for his own player. I've given discount when I had Forge of the Ancients up... but that's another case entirely. Also, a Hammer is one of items which can be quite costly - for it allows you forge items with a discount for yourself later. And, of course, price of artifacts can be even higher...
