Llamaserver difficulties
I've been trying to admin the RAFT game, but the games that I make on llamaserver all vanish once the game starts. I uploaded my own .map file to go with a map image file already on the server, which seems like the right way to go (especially since I can't find anything that would let me upload a map image file anyway!). Games that vanish have no game page (the server says they don't exist), and if you try to make a game with the same name, the server says it's a game that has already existed before.
In the game thread, we thought the problem could be a few things. Initially, we expected that pretenders built without the CBM 1.6 Complete mod might cause the game to stop at the beginning. However, we tried multiple times to make sure; I tried with a couple pretenders myself in a smaller test game. Wasn't the issue. I discovered in exploring this problem that some nations that required coastal starts were not given them, so I tried to fix that. Fixed it, but it didn't stop my test games from disappearing. I thought perhaps the problem laid in that the .map file that I uploaded to llamaserver wasn't correctly referencing the .rgb file used by the master map. I don't know how to test this, but I didn't change this at all since downloading Greece Stain. Perhaps I screwed up and made a win condition that is instantly met in all these cases? Well, I had the game set to no VP victory, and most of my tests have been with multiple nations in the games, so I don't think that's it. My last idea is that the CBM 1.6 Complete mod listed under the "User-uploaded mods" isn't the right one? But I can't find another one, so that's probably not right. I'm kind of stumped, and I want to know if anyone else has had this issue before. |
Re: Llamaserver difficulties
Your map name can't have any spaces in it or else the game just disappears.

You're kidding me...

Re: Llamaserver difficulties
Just to be clear, the #dom2title line has to have no spaces? Or the file names?

Re: Llamaserver difficulties
The file name.

Re: Llamaserver difficulties
Yeah, it's that. Sorry.

Re: Llamaserver difficulties
Oh hey llama. Did anyone mention that the clock seems to be stuck on the server? It's doing turns fine. Just no clock update since yesterday.
