Sword of Many Clors is AoE?

As the title. The rulebook seems to say is only on target(s) while the in game description states "anyone nearby". I have not found anything too conclusive either here or in Wiki.

Anyone knows?

And, also, what is this Killing Light effect? is it just a roll againts MR and if fail then die?

Sword of Many Clors has an aoe 5 killing light effect. This is 10 AN damage with mr negates.
