Would A new AI file work?
What I was wondering is, would it be possible to say, for the next patch, add a new text file name AI_Aggression?
The file would do, well what it says it does, regulate aggression. Ok, a race declares war upon you or you upon it. At that point, the AI would then look to the Aggression information. The information can be everything from "attack most populated enemy system" to "attack most undefended system" The settings could be set in the severity so the AI can go from just "testing" the defense of a world to "Capturing it" or "Glassing it." The same thing for Fleet ingagements. As players, we could set the Target priorty up for the AI, or allow it to have a defult setting. As for aggression factor, set the aggression factor from say 1 to 10. 1 being not very aggressive, to 10 which would be insainly aggresive. What do you think? Would this be a viable item for the next patch? ------------------ New Age Ship Yards "We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats! I guess I picked the wrong title for this thread as no one has read or posted to it. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon9.gif |
Re: Would A new AI file work?
It is in theory a good idea but I think that we won't see such changes until SE5. There are quite a few things you could handle more precisely with txt-files.
