Regarding starmap.bmp etc...
 

Woops...I messed up some files and didn't back them up and I don't want to do a re-install of the game...can someone post some files for me...

starmap.bmp > pictures/games/screens/1024*768
main.bmp > In pictures/game/buttons
arrows.bmp
orders.bmp

Thanks. I thought I would like John Beech's USyMod modified buttons at first - but after a while I wanted the original ones back...

Is there any reason why you didn't put the new bitmaps in a modfolder? Or, make a backup of the originals?
They do get nice and small when zipped, since space is mostly black http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

I didn't want his mod - but I liked some of his cursors and such so I just copied them over the originals...I thought I would like his buttons, but I didn't really...no other reason - too lazy to back up...
