Globals and Dispelling

If there are 5 globals already cast and someone casts a global, am I right in understanding that it's treated as a dispel attempt at a random global, so if 1 existing spell has 200 extra gems and the other 4 have 3 extra, and you are randomly pitted against the +200 spell, then your spell with 50 extra gems is just SOL?

Fricking globals. When I'm Pantokrator, things will run more efficiently.
