Protective Domes - More the merrier?
Heya folks, I just have some quick questions for you.
Can there be more than one dome on a province at the same time, if the type of domes are different? Can you stack the same kind of dome on a province several times? If more than one dome in a province is possible, in what order do they activate, or do even all domes activate if a spell is cast at the province... Thanks for the help ^^ |
Re: Protective Domes - More the merrier?
You can stack domes. Same type repeatedly, different types, whatever.
I would also like to know the exact algorithm for dome activation. I used to assume that each dome would act in turn, as if they were nested, but then I read someplace that only one dome per type can block a single incoming spell, which I guess would mean that stacking forest domes would only increase fire tolerance, while stacking domes of arcane warding would have almost no effect at all.... Well, now I'm subscribed to the thread, so I guess we'll both find out. :) |
Re: Protective Domes - More the merrier?
IIRC...
1. You can have as many domes as you like on a province. 2. Only 1 dome of each type will be effective. 3. Extra N and A domes are still useful because you have a fail-over capacity for broken domes. 4. I don't know what determines the order they activate in, sadly. |
Re: Protective Domes - More the merrier?
I don't think anyone does.. but we could probably determine via test.
Ie., some domes are brought down by things, forest dome by fire... it would be interesting to find out if the domes were done by ongoeing spell effect number, alphabetically, or what ahve you. |
