pain transfer..not clear
 

I tried to cast PT with my mage, and scripy it to attack.
I had other blood mages with slaves in the field. soon, attacking mage was killed. No pain transfer happened..As far as I understand with slaves,blood mages can use slaves of others.. so why my mage was killed so fast?

I believe they can only use blood slaves of others if they are nearby and even then it's probably a bug.

Also I think even if you do have slaves, you have to be near them for pain transfer to work.

AFAIK no-one has ever actually made pain transfer work to their advantage.

pain transfer requires the slaves to be close to the mage.
problem is that archery killes the slaves in its own right.
so by the time the mage is 1-2 times.. all the slaves have also already been hit and killed.

you might have some slight success if you body ethereal all the slaves, and then cast the battlefield luck.

When the mage wanders too far from the slaves, don't they become non-gem units?

Guys guys I heard you can't use slaves if they are too far away!

when they wander away they do become units.. but they are also still usable as blood slaves.
