How does one make a ford..

So ah does anyone know how to make a ford river crossing some scenarios have this blinking thing where one can cross a stream at ... ????

Adjust the terrain height to -1 (-2?) for the stream hex. I did this myself a week or 2 back. Do that on initial entry to the editor, so the selection is not set to say a hill etc or clicking the stream hex gets you unwanted scenery :)!.
