Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
In a new SP Dom3 game, the first I have played with victory set to provinces, I notice that the 'Provinces' graph is just a horizontal line which I know is incorrect. Is this because I choose provinces ('Provinces required 380') as the victory condition?
If not, how do I get my province graph back? |
Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
is it just province graph or all of them? cause there's this little option called "score graphs" which you can turn on and off. if it's set to off than you won't be able to see any of the graphs.

Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
It is just the provinces (and perhaps forts ... but I am on turn 5 so there might not be any forts yet) graph that is missing. All the other graphs work as expected.

Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
well, on turn 5 I'd expect the province graph to already be different. forts would probably be still at 1 for all on turn 5, unless somebody got really lucky to get such an early free fort from good event or a very very fast site searching(there's this earth site that gives u a fort, maybe others too) or of course a W nation finding Kelp Fortresses...
but if army, research, dominion and whatever are working properly than I don't know... |
Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
The forts graph is working fine. So All of the graphs are working except the provinces graph, which is just a horizontal line. This graph has always worked in the past. The ONLY difference from now to the last game I played: v. 3.24 and I am using the province option for victory.

Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
doesnt the VP condition automatically dictate the scale of the graph? If so, the 5 or whatever provinces you have right now might just not be a noticeable difference of the 380 you need.

Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
That's probably the problem. 380 is such a high number that before you get around 20 provinces, it won't even register there.

Re: Statistics -> Score Graphs - No Provinces
Yes.
It works like this. In a game with no specific end-of-game setting, the top number for the graphs is variable. So the lines change as each display rechooses the top number. In early game it might be showing the lines on a 1-20 chart, then later on a 1-50, then 1-100, and eventually it might have to shift to a 1-500 in order for the lines to all fit in the window without running off the top of the screen. But in your game you set that top number at 380 right from the beginning. All scores are going to be displayed on a 1-400 (iirc it does round up) window which means it will be hard to see in the beginning. What you can do is change your Dom3 icon to include the --scoredump switch. That way every time the game hosts it will create a scores.html like this one... http://game.dom3minions.com/games/al...ng/scores.html with specific numbers for all the stats. It wont change the in-game score display but it will give you another way to see what is specifically going on. Some people are really into numbers and prefer to use it instead of the in-game score charts in all their games. |

Gandalf Parker, Edi, Peacekeeper: Thanks for the info.
I usually play 100 to 200 province games but really wanted to try out the Dom3_Faerun_466_Adventure.map. Quote:
--scoredump Create a score file after each turn (scores.html) Cool: I'll try it today. |
