Battle points setting does not apply to long campaign?

Hi!

I have set the battle points setting in the preferences to 50000 for player 1 (me) and 500 for player 2 (no one said war is fair :]). This works fine for battles, but not for the long WW2 campaign. Every time I start the long WW2 campaign, I expect at most a company or so of enemy troops to my...8-10 companies of armor, paratroopers, and riflemen, but the enemy always has a significantly larger force, one that could not be created with 500 points.

Is there something I am missing here about how to properly set battle points for the long campaign? Is it intended to not work with the long campaign? Or is it a bug?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

The battle points settings in campaigns only apply to the initial core purchase for player 1, and are otherwise totally irrelevant. The allocation of points for player 2 are determined by the normal battle point ratio for the appropriate battle type.

P2 points = (P1 core value + any support points purchased for this battle) * battle type modifier.

Air superiority is determined by the campaign logic, and not by preferences settings either.

[You can always set the AI percentage modifier, as explained in the GG, if you want to play with the AI at a significant disadvantage (or vice versa)] GG -> Playing a Campaign -> New in v1.1 box.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks for your quick response!

I just tried that, and I guess that sets the AI points as a percentage of what I spend. Not quite what I wanted, but better than nothing!
