Possible glitch

End game screen shows 1 Argentine APCs destroyed if look at units there were 4 destroyed.
3 were destroyed in the water by RPGs, they were not at the map edge but within 2-3 hexes of the coast.
Just wondering if there might be a problem as units destroyed in the water were not shown as destroyed in end game screen were the points allocated for their destruction?

End game file included slot zero MBT
Any other info needed ask units were loaded

Not a very useful save point, since the score routine has already been run at this point, only the computed total is displayed, from stored data.

There should be 4 APC kills on the totals count - but perhaps if removed on water then the game does not total them as kills in the count. (A simple test scenario with 1 APC set on water for target practice may confirm or deny this?).

Important bit is the score though - You could tot up the victory points from the force list (destroyed unit points, plus points for each damage on survivors), to see if that important bit is OK. (# of men or whatever killed is not very important, and I must admit I never bother to go through that pile of stats myself)

I would need a save just before end game to be able to debug through the totting-up code, though.

Bug confirmed.

Any units that are floating on a lake hex when destroyed are not added to the type kill-count, nor are their points credited. Any killed pax are credited (count + score).

Thus in a normal beach assault this is not a problem (barge passengers in the main, barges are free) - just for any individual floater APCs and so on with swim capacity, that are not deployed in barges, and presumably any naval fire support craft.

Test scenario:
buy 3 M113 section and load the HQ into one, deployed on water hexes for beach assault. Oppose with a company of 13 T-55 at short range. All USA units destroyed PDQ. Score was 53 (the cost of HQ) and counts were 6 men killed (the HQ crew count). No vehicle kills counted, nor any points credited for the 3 M113, or M113 crews.

So there is something wrong with water (lake hex) kills (need to check the case of on destroyed bridge over water too, heliflopters shot down over lake hexes etc, etc) - added to the TBI list.

Good catch! (this one will probably have been there since the legacy DOS SP1 days.).

Cheers for the quick reply Andy just thought may also be tied to integral rubber rafts, troop will still count but raft destruction for all the points its worth if any free.
Also cavalry might be effected if have swim capability
