About Milkshape 3D program...

Hey guys, just wondered if anyone here uses Milkshape as a 3D tool to make ship sets. I'm thinking of using it to make my SFB/SE4 mode to make ships, but I'm have very little knowlege in making 3D models. Can anyone direct me to some help guides on the net to help me out?

There is a ton of info that you can glean from Milkshape's forums and links sections. I've even seen AVI based tutorials for Milkshape there. I find using a pure vertex based editor like Milkshape to be tedious. Sure, it has plenty of control that way, but what I like are Milkshape's other features such as its excellent import/export capabilities and texture mapping. Lazy me, I use DoGA L3 (http://www.doga.co.jp) for most of my star ship modelling and use vertex level tools when I need a custom part for DoGA.
