question about formation leadership
I've got several USA airmobile (1965) formations where the indicated formatation P leader in the HQ menu is not the x0 unit of the formation. The P leader is something like x5 and always seems to be a MMG section. It seems that several airmobile formations are organized that way.
It appears these formations leaders are corporals leading an MMG section. The HQ units are lead by either 1st or 2nd Lt's What's up with that? Perhaps an experience issue? |

If you cross attach units to a platoon, then the HQ can move due the numbers being reassigned. If you take casualties in a campaign the HQ can move, if it was destroyed in battle. Andy |
Re: question about formation leadership
That makes sense. A flock of UH-1D A/229 AHB show up turn 25 with a 2nd Lt as P leader, but Capt as x0 leader. And 1,2 & 3 PLT 2nd Bn, 5th Cavalry appear as reinforcements on turn 49. I believe that's about the time Broken Arrow is disseminated by B0 on the radio net. I don't believe there's been time to formally re-org these units.
