The armor stats for this vehicle seem a bit low. At the time it was included in the game it was unclear as to what version of the Merkava tank it would be based on. The IDF has based the Namer on the MkIV Merkava hull. While slightly redesigned it offers the same protection to crew and passengers as the Merkava MkIV. It should also have a Soltam 60mm mtr and the same close in defence system as mounted on the MkIV (Trophy). The in game Namer has none.
Another version replacing the 50cal MG with a Mk19 40mm AGL should be made.
Both of these weapons are mounted on a ROWS.(Remote Overhead Weapons Station) These ROWS mounted weapons should be much more accurate than a man aimed weapon because they are tied in to a system that includes optics and a balistics computer. This would require the creation of these systems in the game as it seems none exist now. They are becomming much more prevelent on the modern battlefield and are used on a huge assortment of vehicles and by many Nations.
A future IFV version of the Namer could also be made mounting a 30mm gun and SPIKE ATGMs. The current weapon system in the game useing this weapon combination is mounted on other Nations APCs/IFVs. It is made by Rafael in Israel. An upgraded version of this system is to be mounted on the IFV version of the Namer. It is said that mounting this weapon system will not detract from the passenger capacity.

I've put this on the list to investigate when we start work on the game again in the fall

Kevin, made any progress as far as making this a playable unit yet? I think your idea has great merit and would certainly fit well within the Coldwar 2020 mod. Looking forward to it's release.

It has not been made yet, although the intention is there. Tis weapon system has been mounted on a M113 and a Achzaritt APC as test vehicles. The Namer is already set up for such a system but none have been mounted as of yet. Look in the game OOBs now. Anything mounting a SPIKE ATGM is an Israeli system. Some do have the Mk44 Bushmaster gun mounted. This weapon can be changed to the 40mm Super with litle effort. Other Nations have opted for this weapon for that reason. Look through the OOB and see what you can see! Some of it is Israeli!

I did make one for my personal OOB.

Weapon #1 is based on weapon #77 in the USMC OOB the 30mm Bushmaster. This one has to be added.

Weapon #2 is weapon #64 7.62mm FN CMG

Weapon #3 is weapon # 161 Spike LR. This may be wrong. Weapon #162 Spike ER may be the correct missile.

Weapon #4 is custom made. The 60mm Soltam Mtr Improved. As of right now this would be the wrong weapon. The mortar mounted now is muzzle loaded. The Improved is mounted on the MkIV Merkava and is both loaded and fired from inside the tank. It has a range of 3700 meters and is aimed with help from the tanks fire controle systems making it very accurate.
A standard 60mm mtr re-classed as a class 5 weapon would be better for now.
