goto province
Hey there... for some time I haven't played the game for RL kicking hard. Now I'm playing a small SP game and I've got a little problem, whenever I cast some site-searching spell that finds some site, a "goto province" command appears... but clicking on it takes the view onto the mage's province, not onto the site one. Is that working as intended or am I doing something wrong? 3.24 installed. Thanks for any assistance ;)

Re: goto province
nope, thats the way it works. its a bad design, but its WAD. hit F1 for a good way to find the prov you need

Re: goto province
Oook thanks. I think when I stopped playing some times ago, the feature didn't exist yet.
Well, not that now it actually does :smirk: |
Re: goto province
That is the way it works. It was considered at the time that the desire would be to have the mage cast another search and select the province, or set it to a new task.
When the ability to set mages to redo the search automatically each turn got added, then the message should possibly have been changed to go to the province that was searched. At that point the mostly likely desire did change. For now, I find that the F1 menu is the most helpful. Also knowing that the searches tend to happen sequentially so you have an idea where in the F1 menu to go to. In some ways I find the F1 better anyway. I have an idea of what magic sites are common and minor so I can quickly mouse-over the sites, right-click any that I dont recognize, and click the province name to go to it if I need to. Oh, and be sure to check out some other features of F1. The TAB key is very useful. Also you can use that menu to not only see places you need to manage, but to also change the taxes and buy PD. |
