Pretender Gods and Old Age
Sorry to create a second thread, but I have a question. I noticed that when you look at a Pretender God's fatigue stats, it displays an age meter just like a regular unit. Obviously I'm not worried when I play a 100-province game that he'll grow old and die on me, but in a 1000-province game that I'm going to try, it might become such. Are Pretender gods immune to the effects of Old Age? Aren't they supposed to be immortal, or at least ageless, anyways?

Re: Pretender Gods and Old Age
no, only specific pretenders are immortal, and out of those only the undeads are immune to disease for example. pretenders gain and treat afflictions just like normal units, and that would include old age as well, just that most pretenders are young enough and have enough years to live before being old, but human pretenders such as the Crone are more prone to old age than others.

Re: Pretender Gods and Old Age
No. Many are long lived. You can see both the current age and old age numbers. Only a few pretenders start old. The Crone comes to mind. If they don't start old, or very close to it, you shouldn't worry about it.
Few games will last even 10 years. You can always add Nature magic to your pretender to raise the Max age. There are items and spells that will help as well. |
Re: Pretender Gods and Old Age
Also, 1000 province games are a bad idea. You'll get bored of the AI long before you finish it. (And in MP it just leads to drama.)
