Simple Question
Did german formation No. 186 suffer any tweak from 4 to 4.25? I could swear it packed a couple of Pzkw38e(t) before, I could be wrong though
Thanks in advance |

However the original SSI behaviour in buying was fixed way back. our code decides on one type of a class for an entire formation buy - the old code "rolled the dice" on each sub-formation and again if the template unit changed, so you often ended up with mixed platoons in the same company, or even different units of the same class in a platoon, if the templates differed, as well as polyglot companies. The new code now decides on meeting the first of a class that the one it selects will be used till the next completely new formation buy (A company buy being one buy operation). So if it selects unit #123, then the company (or single platoon if it is only buying the one) will be homogenous. i.e no more Soviet tank coys with 1 T-26 M1933s as co. HQ, a T34 platoon as platoon 1, a T-26 M1933 platoon 2 and a T-26 M1937s platoon 3. Mixed formations are now done solely by the unit class, or by a scenario designer manually changing individual units of the same class within a formation to represent it. The X3 radio code has also really been depreciated to usage as a "not for AI use" flag. Cheers Andy |
Re: Simple Question
Thanks Andy! fast and gentle as always.
However, what did you mean by "The X3 radio code has also really been depreciated to usage as a "not for AI use" flag" Thanks again. |

Don't use template units with an X3 radio code (unless you really know what you are doing!). The X3 code is now 99% used for units of a class that we do not want the AI to ever buy. If you do not understand the above - then do not use X3 radio codes in your own OOBS. Andy |
Re: Simple Question
Thanks andy
I´ve been reading mobhack help and I think I got it straight now, so you´re telling me the radio code issue is just a matter of telling the AI what to buy? Thanks again |
