Sea of Ice does not prevent retreat
The story :
- Sea of Ice active - A scout with a Ring of Water Breathing spies an underwater province just near a coastal province of mine - Evil shrimps patrol and eventually find my scout - A battle ensues, the scout retreats... - ...and ends his movement in my land nearby province (despite Sea of Ice). :D |

yeah that's a known bug. fortunatly its not an issue that often.

What's more annoying is that Water-breathers fighting on the coast when Sea of Ice is up will retreat into the water and then be trapped. This happened to many Basalt Kings and several Tartarians in one game. Particularly frustrating when even the Lighting Cyclops can't get out, since Cloud Trapeze doesn't work in the water.
This is also exploitable, if you have a coastal province where you can attack & retreat. Some of your units will wind up on the other side of the ice. |
