Wierd Saved Games Issue Solved
I installed the CD version on my Windows 7 (64 bit) computer. Program Files/Shrapnel Games/The Camo Workshop/Win SPMBT is the path.
I have a Saved Games Folder there, but it only contains two files: the text files that says Saved Games folder and SpSv000.cmt However, I have played a number of games and saved six or seven times during those games. When I am IN the game, I can see the saved games in the saved games directory, I can start one of the saved games and resume play from where it was saved. Yet, I can't seem to find these saved games from the various turns anywhere on my computer, even with Hidden Files off. Finally I found them, you have to click on "show compatability files" on the Windows Explorer screen near the top above the files list. WTF? |

See e.g. : http://www.hanselman.com/blog/Vistas...alization.aspx Apparently - you will need to tell windows 7 to allow you privileges to write to program files (Where every other version of Windows puts its files - but not vista or W7, naturally!) - otherwise it seems to squirrel your data files away in this virtual store (and the files will not be visible in save or open file dialogues within programmes - just in the explorer window, if you remember to click that button?). Re: Wierd Saved Games Issue Solved
We have been suggesting that Vista and Win7 users install the game outside of Program Files and that eliminates this as an issue. Unfortunately all the patches/ games / CD's are set up for installing in Program Files trying to change that now would be a nightmare for everyone
