Newb Game- Discontinued- Joining another game that isn't filled

Just bought the game a few weeks ago after seeing it mentioned on a thread over at the Elemental Forum. After being incredibly frustrated for the past several months with that game, I thought I would give this one a try, and so far I've been extremely impressed by the single player. Wish I'd found it when it first came out.

Seeing as there are no games currently open I thought I'd start one.

Era: Middle Age
newbs only
8-11 players
mods: CBM 1.6, EDM 1.1
map: Cradle of Dominion
disallowed nations: None
site frequency: 45
score graphs off
hall of fame: 15 entries
renaming on
diplomacy is binding

Turns will initially be on a 24-hour timer, and will be increased as requested. Extensions will also be granted as needed (though hopefully not frequently).

Hoping to keep this limited to players with relatively limited experience such as myself (I don't want to get trounced to bad in my first MP outing), but depending on interest may have to open it up further.

All rules and settings are open to debate. I'm planning on playing Abysia.

Welcome to the forums and the Dominions community Torgon. Good to see another new player, and one that is also happy to arrange games :)

Mainly posting here to say that there is currently a newbie game that is signing up if you are interested in playing in it. The thread for it is a couple of threads below this one. (the thread is called Firststeps)

The game itself is actually being run on a sort of off-shoot of this forum, so please feel free to sign-up if you are looking for more than one game to play in. The actual game thread is here btw.

Although please don't let me or this game dissuade you in any way from starting your own game here. As right now there are probably too few players who are willing to organise and admin games, so it's always good so see someone happy to join the admin ranks :)

Wow great writeup for your first time.
Are you hosting it yourself also? Or using one of the servers?

There are a number of open games on the servers already. But hey, not knocking on anyone who wants to jump in and try serving also.

I wouldn't give me too much credit for the writeup; most of it was written by my good friend ctrl-c.

Seeing as how theres another newby game that isn't full yet, I'll discontinue this one until a latter time. Not sure what my time commitments are going to look like but don't want to get overwhelmed.
