Error: WPP has stopped working
 

Hi,

I'm running Windows 7 and have installed the WPP demo but receive the following error:

"Error: WPP has stopped working"

Can anyone please help?

I found the following in an old post. It's talking about Vista, but Win7 may be the same problem :

Most likely, some of the supporting programs are not installing correctly.

Please try this:

If you are running Vista SP1 or later, please run the following from the folder where you unzipped the file:

· vcredist_x86.exe

· xnafx20_redist.msi

· direct\DXSetup.exe

if you are running Vista RTM, install the XNA framework 3.5 from Microsoft located at:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

and then run the same files under Vista RTM above.

I did see that thread but as I'm unsure what running those files actual does can someone confirm whether this is an appropriate solution for Win 7 please?

I just don't want to risk screwing anything up.
