BSOD Spell?

Just after I quit my current SP, Windows reported some nonsense about "Can't read SATA drive, you have big problems buddy". Since then, unable to boot, gets thru BIOS and starts Windows, then BSOD, dump memory, done Safe Mode and BIOS reset, same.

So.....

The question is: which specific spell has been cast by AI against my machine?

Re: BSOD Spell?

Either a hard drive failure or a motherboard failure. The former is more probable. Have the computer been giving of any strange noises lately? When my hard drive died it was making a bunch of clicking sounds a few days before the crash. I was able to save much of the content because of the warning.

Try accessing the hard drive with another computer to check weather or not it works. Or just switch it over to another SATA port to make sure its not the port that is having trouble. If it really is a bad drive you might be able to backup files to a new computer this way.

If you have a SSD it is more likely it has failed. They are notorious for failing early.

This is not related with Dominions by any means and is one of two possibilities:
1) Hardware failure
2) If Windows did use those exact words as listed within your quotes " " ... then somehow you were taken out by a virus. If you were just using those words as humor then it's hardware failure.

First try switching your harddrive with one which works... and then take the broken drive and setup as a slave to access your data. Also try using a different sata port and different sata cable.

Um, scary, Believe me, no humor over losing a PC! So far, disk reads into another PC so I can get my saves etc. back, but will only operate as slave drive, no boot. My definition: "f***ed".

Perhaps Illwinter sent gremlins to attack your computer.

After you recover the data from the drive... try formating the drive and starting fresh. If this fails then follow Microsofts 106419 and clean the mbr with fdisk. If that fails then it's in really bad shape.

I estimate some youtube videos exist if you've never done this before. If the drive only works as a slave in another computer than it's probably not the sata port or sata cable.

Leeching Darkness is one of the possibilities. I would not discount Drain Life or your computer being exposed to the Soul Vortex of a stealthy plague carrying commander, such as Wraith Lord with a Bane Venom Charm.

Manifestation of Void !!!

I'would be you, I would close myself in a room without corners, just in case before the night come.

Burn that computer, and burry your HDD in a deep cave, well away from any water sources...

If you live near ocean or sea you may be in trouble...

So, I finally decide to buy a new Dell for replacement, and the one I want is "Currently available only on a 20 days lead-time"... Is this further proof of evil-doings emanating from Dom...?
