Sea on ice
How does it works "Sea on Ice"? I know that blocks the movement between land and sea but also completely blocks underwater units (only teleport is active)? If so this spell is quite detrimental to underwater units ...

Re: Sea on ice
I think you can still move underwater. Actually, I'm certain. Just movement in and out of the water is blocked.
(However, I'm not sure what happens if you retreat. It could be that you can still retreat trough the ice). |

Re: Sea on ice
You can in fact retreat through the ice.
This caused me much frustration in one game as Early Atlantis. Not only could I not get any more Basalt Kings to the surface, but I kept losing more every time they retreated. Tartarians as well. You can only Teleport out. No Cloud Trapeze. It doesn't come into play very often since Sea of Ice doesn't see much use, but it's a serious bug when it does. Of course, you can also exploit it, by attacking & retreating where you can retreat to the other side of the ice. |
Re: Sea on ice
Can you cloud trapeze in but not out? That is weird.
Doh... you cannot cast cloud trapeze underwater. :D |
Re: Sea on ice
Found a few bugs with this:
- Units can still retreat into the water or out of the water. Ignoring the ice. - Cloud trapezing into the ice still works. (Not out, but mages cannot cast cloud trapeze underwater anyway). - Flying behaves oddly when underwater. If a flyer starts in an underwater province. It can still fly over normal provinces when the sea of ice is up. As long as it lands in a water province. |
Re: Sea on ice
this is a cool spell, the kind that makes dominions what it is. I hope they fix it
