Retreat/Rally Hex Function

Has anybody used this rally point function? Are their any pros and cons to using this function?

I've tried to use this function when some of my infantry units in my platoon where taking heavy suppression and I tried to rally them 4-6 hexes away. For some reason I could not get them to RV to the rally hex, even the units with no suppression.

Sometimes a tactical retreat is your best option, unless the Fuhrer forbids it.:hurt:

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Retreat/Rally Hex Function

It's very useful when you got at the enemy's back. Then you won't retreat towards him, if you set it right.
That's a point for compulsory retreat, not for ordered one.
