Switching PBEM-opponent to AI
Hi @ all!
Is there a possibilty to continue a PBEM-battle against the AI? Unfortunately my opponent has quit after the first few turns and I don't want to abort the battle. There is a small background-AAR running and I don't want my story-effort go to waste... |

Also, any implementation of such a "feature" would be an invitation to cheat by enabling the feature in order to find out what your human opponent's force was etc. Andy |
Re: Switching PBEM-opponent to AI
Yeah, I'm afraid you're out of luck on that. That would be, as Andy pointed out, a HUGE invitation to cheat PBEM.

No problem, can't say that I didn't expect something like this...would be really easy to exploit this function. Plan B: Is anybody here willing to continue the battle for my opponent? It's a small battle between Germany and Denmark in about 2011 and only the first few turns are played. I'm still a beginner with PBEM-games and playing Denmark - so it would not be too difficult for any volunteer... :o |
Re: Switching PBEM-opponent to AI
Finding a human opponent replacement will be the best solution IF you can get his game password.
I suppose I can play in year 2011, but I'm better used to 1941. Please PM me. |

If it is an unsecure game however another player could indeed take over if they wished. |
Re: Switching PBEM-opponent to AI
if you set basic security you can use the pass of your opponent. but you should request the pass to your opponent.
