OT-A bug with the forum instant emotion icons?
 

I couldn't find any better place to post this, so here it is. Whenever I try to put one of these in, it ALWAYS gets added to the end of the message, even if the curser is somewhere in the middle. Wierd. I experienced some trouble with the smilies on Opera 5.12. Have yet to try them on Opera 6 (not on this machine).

Have you tried typing them manually?

That's how I have to do it if I want to add them to the middle of a post. If I add them as I type, then all is well (because I would be adding them to the what is currently the end of the post anyway). But if I type three paragraphs, then decide that I wanted an emotion icon at the end of that first paragraph up there, then I have to add them manually. Otherwise, I get the icon at the end of the 3rd paragraph.

Works the same for me. Kind of freaked me out when I carefully put my cursor where I wanted the icon to go and clicked the icon but got nothing. Then I realized it went to the end. My guess is that when you click on the icon, the edit box loses focus and it forgets where your cursor was.
