anyone else notice...if you have a hired merc group, and another nation also has a mercenary group and you click on them, it gives you the message that they will sign on with you for less than other nations. in other words, if you are ulm and arco has dante's stingers and their contract is up, it tells you that you will get the discount, as though you already have them.

also, merc question: say you have a group and they have sustained heavy casualties. they want 120 gp, can you offer them less and have any chance of getting them?

I'm pretty sure some mercs are cheaper for specific nations. Giuseppe is discounted for Marignon, for example. Maybe that's what you're seeing?

you cannot offer less. They dont think that the losses justify a pay cut.
If you offer less you cant get them. Actually you can offer less but its useless
