Switchblade
How about some loadouts with the switchblade UAV/cruise missile. I would love to see it on an Apache. http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htw.../20120523.aspx

2) The existing Hellfire missiles do the job of killing stuff at a distance just fine, for game counters (AVF, squads). 3) Missiles in SP are for firing at vehicles and bunkers in direct fire mode. This thing has a tiny 2Kg warhead so is meant for firing at individuals, which game missiles don't do. This weapon therefore would be best introduced into some sort of RPG shooter counter-terrorist type first-person view game system of the Tom Clancy genre. Andy |

1) We have no kamikaze UAV or any other weapon remotely like that. But could we?

Switchblade fits in a 2.75 inch tube. 3) Missiles in SP are for firing at vehicles and bunkers in direct fire mode. An Apache can fire one and use it as a self deployed UAV. No need to lose scout helos. The gunner can manage them or them can be handed off to or assisted by other UAV operators. A big deal. John |
Re: Switchblade
It also means a UAV can be launched by a squad.

Re: Switchblade
Squad launched UAVs are nothing new but the game is incapable of modeling these apart from as a straight forward UAV. Each unit is a seperate entity & it cant spawn another one so the squad or apache cant suddenly produce a UAV.
If it was possible doing so for more common stuff like cavalry bike or ski troops so they could part with their mode of transport would most likely have been implemented. Or starshells for night fighting now that would be fun. |
Re: Switchblade
This is strictly for FYI only purposes and I only present it for that purpose as it also was in my email.
