Wrong pic on a unit.
 

Hello..Recently acquired the newest version of SPWW2 on CD, love it...A VERY old friend!..

Going thru the units I noticed the wrong picture has been used to depict the P-80 jet fighter(U.S.)

The picture used is that of a Republic F 84, early straight wing model.

The later model with swept wings was still in use early in the Vietnam fracas..

That interesting because there is no "P-80" in the US SPWW2 OOB's

Check again and let me know what unit you are refering to

I can find an F-80 in the USA MBT OOBs but no P-80 there either.

BTW- a reading of the sticky thread entitled "OOB Error Reporting procedure" at the top of the forum would likely prove helpful.

Sorry guys, I am new to this forum..Originally the "F-80" was referred to as the P 80..Same plane..In these OOBs it is the F 80..Dead give away is the open snout on the F 84 (as in the pic), whereas the F 80/P 80 had smaller opening, low in the front of the fuselage, one on each side..

You are viewing the v1 version of the OOB's !!


Those OOB's still had units that had start dates PAST the end date of the game ( that was a holdover from when we started all this back in 1998 and the game ran to 12/49 ) They did not show up in the game but they did show up if you were looking at them with MOBHack. The unit you are referring to ( unit 123 ) was finally removed from the OOB in 2009 when we did some housecleaning of useless units and anything with a start date of 5/47 is useless in a game with an end date of 12/46

When you patch the game to the current version ( v5 ) your problem will go away as will no doubt a few other problems you might find
