Unit info
I am having trouble with the unit info screen. Does the ap indicate the units armor piercing capability? For instance I purchased some sdkfz 251/10, I bought them because they have an ap of 100. After using them I think they are junk against armor. Their warhead for the gun is 2. Which should I take into account.

Re: Unit info
The 100 you see is probably the ammo loadout for AP rounds. In SPWW2 penetration is in cm, not mm like SPWaW.
To see the PEN of a weapon, click on the 'unit data' button when in the purchasing screen, or the 'Information' button when in a battle, after right clicking the unit. The 3.7cm Kwk 35 L47 has: PEN 5 (1 with HE rounds) If you want to see more info about a guns penetrative ability, there's a file called: WW2_APCalc.exe in your main WinSPWW2 folder. Execute it, load the nation, then the weapon. The 3.7cm Kwk 35 L47 with AP round will average 5cm penetration out to about 200m, but may get as much as 6cm. Averages 4cm out to 450m and 3cm out to 600m. But may get as much as 4cm out to 1200m, if you're lucky. Cross |

Re: Unit info
Thanks Cross, Ive used the calculator to some extent. The info about barrel length has been very helpful, I use it alot, for quick glances. Don, I realize now what the ammo above means I just assumed it meant the power of the gun and round. I finally am into some better equipment just got Tigers and Marder II's.
