Full Game Download?
 

Ok, I got my manual and my key, but I can't find my disk. I have the Dom3 installed on Windows from way back, and I used to have it installed on linux. But now my old linux box is hosed and I'm looking to reinstall linux dom3. What's the best way to do this without a disk? Can I copy the windows files over and just install the Linux patch?

The best bet would be to contact support at the Shrapnel site and ask for a temp link to a linux copy.

Thanks, Gandalf. I also have a friend with a disk that I can borrow this weekend. I just wanted to get something started before then server-wise.

You can use his disc. The protection is in the serial.

And if you only plan to use it as a server then that doesnt even matter. There has to be a serial. But the game only checks players. It doesnt actually check serial on the server. That allows the person being the server to also play in his own game without a violation

I would just like to report that this did work, at least runnning as a command line server. Copy a complete windows install, apply the linux patch. You still need a serial key. As Gandalf says, the server can have the same key as one of the players.
