How do I get a Spotter Plane on the board?
 

Been trying but so far it refused to leave it's hanger and come out and play. Help!

1.) Go to the "Bombardment" menu
2.) Use the "Switch to: Spotters" to get to the spotter menu
3.) Pick a hex from the area that you would like the spotter plane to observe
4.) Click on the black icon next to the spotter plane that you would like to use to observe

Then wait a turn or two for the spotter plane to show up.

It's in the Game Guide's Tutorial section, under "Bombardment Screen" and the more detailed "Bombardment screen, spotters screen" where it walks you through how to plot the UAV which is provided in that scenario.

All players are expected to at least have read through this, even if they don't bother to play the actual scenario itself, since many key game mechanisms are explained in the tutorial walk-through.

See also Game Guide->Bombardment Screen, "Switch to:" button explanation, and the "Spotter Page" paragraph.

The Game Guide is your user manual, and can be launched by going to the Help Tab of the Game Options Launcher programme, and then pressing the button labelled "Game Manual".

NB - It is best if you play the tutorial scenario in Windowed Mode, with the GG opened in the browser - its much easier to swap between the game and the browser in that mode than in full-screen.

Understand. I did do extensive searches of the manual and failed to find this before - sometimes it is difficult to select the right terms for a search.

Will check out the tutorial.

However, having made a reasonable attempt to find information oneself, the knowledge of the community is a huge help and is much appreciated.
