Q. re digital download

Hi Folks
I am interested in this game and very tempted to buy.
I would be buying the digital version and my question is: can I save it to disc for later installation?
Thanks

i don't know the answer to that question. but i am glad i bought the tangible version, as i have the disk, and also the manual. it's a bit out of date, but i find it an excellent reference none the less.

Im pretty sure you can.

Even if you cant, the game doesnt really "install" like others. It doesnt write to the registry at all as far as I know. Many people just copy the game after installed to a disc. It can be played off the disc. Or even off of a thumb drive.

But one important point. If you order the hard disc and just wait abit instead of the download you get all 3 versions on the CD. Windows and Mac and Linux. Plus a 300 page manual in a spiral binding (it can lay open flat)

Re: Q. re digital download

The digital download version includes a pdf of the manual. Though I still prefer the spiral bound manual when at home, the pdf is nice to have for travel or for reference at work, only during lunch break of course. The fact that it is electronically searchable is handy also.

I found myself on a long weekend up North with the family without my power supply and turns due in two games. My wife wasn't so forgetful, but had a Mac while I had a Windows computer. So, the problem couldn't be solved by just copying over the dominions3 folder.

Though there may have been other solutions available, I purchased the digital download version and installed it on her computer. I had the shrink wrapped version already.

Thank you for the replies.

From what Gandalf Parker says I take it I can save the game to a disc for later installation.

As to the suggestion to purchase the hard copy of the game...when I go to the shop page the only versions available in the drop down options are digital.

I presume the sale price applies only to the digital version??
